Treatment Process

Step 1: Consultation (approximately 30 min)

Our dentist will conduct a comprehensive examination and meticulous analysis of your occlusion (bite) to detect any parafunction, such as night grinding or clenching, ensuring the highest quality of care.

Step 2: Follow-up visits with the dentist

Dentures typically require multiple visits. Our dentists need to take detailed measurements of your teeth, gums, and jaw, mainly when combined with implants, to ensure that your dentures are well-fitted, secure, and comfortable.

FAQS on Dentures

How long do dentures last?

In all patients, the gums and jawbone continue to change and ‘shrink’ over time. Most dentures will need to be replaced after 5 to 7 years to ensure they fit well and do not move around while eating.

How much is the cost of dentures?

CHAS subsidies are available for dentures. However, as costs vary depending on the complexity of the case and the number of missing teeth, we recommend to make and appointment and consult our dentists for a quotation.

Can I wear my dentures all the time?

Dentures need to be removed and cleaned after each meal and at the end of the day. In addition to regular brushing, a denture cleaning product can be used to remove any trapped food debris. It is not recommended to sleep with dentures on.

What are the common problems with ill-fitted dentures?

Some common problems with dentures include:

  • Gum soreness or ulcers from constant rubbing of the base of the denture against the gums.
  • Difficulty biting on harder or chewy foods.
  • Food getting trapped under the base of the denture leading to gum irritation, infection, and decay.
  • The denture coming loose while smiling, talking, and eating.
