Treating Terminal Dentition & Total Edentulism with Implants
Global Novas • Passion for Excellence
Lecture Overview
The full arch implant rehabilitation concept is a multi-procedural approach to traditional single-tooth implant placement. The concept employs four to six screw-retained, angled implants supporting highly durable full-arch prosthetics. Thanks to the latest technological advances, only a few implants, properly placed and angled, are required to support multiple prosthetic teeth. This treatment is designed for patients seeking to maximize chairside efficiency through a single-day prosthetic solution for their oral restoration needs.
This lecture will focus on advanced surgical and restorative principles and protocols, and is for experienced clinicians who wish to learn about immediate full arch loading and conversion. Clinicians will learn the fundamental principles of full mouth reconstructive surgery with immediate conversion and load. This lecture will also cover the importance of careful case selection and how to avoid the common pit falls that often accompany full arch prosthetics when poorly executed.
The lecture aims to:
- Discuss patient selection including identifying risk factors and terminal dentition, as well as potential opportunities beyond typical patient selection
- Discuss treatment planning differences between single unit and full arch cases and identifying opportunities for risk reduction in the planning stages of full arch procedures
