Functional Education with Myofunctional Appliances have been shown to provide a therapy for encouraging normal functions of lip relationship, correct tongue position and normal breathing, resulting to good development of occlusion in the primary and mixed dentition, and as a support for orthodontic treatment in the permanent dentition. This therapy is integral in the treatment of malocclusion because it addresses the muscles and functions that influence the development of the arch forms and how they relate with each other. To realize its significance and effects is the aim of this presentation, which will include the following topics: i. Functional Education and normal development ii.
