Lecture Synopsis:
Dental Sleep Medicine is not just about the appliances we prescribe, the materials we use, or the digital workflows behind their design and fabrication. It is equally about patient management.
Many patients presenting with snoring or sleep-related concerns are often unaware of the underlying condition or its health implications. Therefore, upon identifying these concerns, it becomes the dentist’s responsibility to guide, educate, and manage these patients effectively.
One of the most common yet underdiagnosed conditions encountered in practice is sleep-disordered breathing.
This lecture aims to equip participants with practical approaches to screening, assessing, and managing patients with sleep-related concerns, alongside an introduction to digital workflows and 3D sleep appliance therapy.
